Questions, answered.
How does Xtream to M3U conversion work?+
Xtream Codes panels serve a standard export endpoint (get.php) that takes your username and password and returns an M3U playlist. This tool builds that exact URL locally in your browser — it doesn't change your credentials or copy them anywhere.
Can I recover my Xtream login from an M3U link?+
Only if that M3U was originally generated by an Xtream panel — its stream URLs follow a predictable pattern that embeds the server, username and password. We scan every channel URL in your playlist for that pattern. Plain M3U playlists not sourced from Xtream have no credentials to recover.
What's the difference between M3U and M3U8?+
They're the same format — .m3u8 simply guarantees UTF-8 text encoding. The normalize tool re-serializes your playlist as clean UTF-8 and lets you save it under either extension.
Is any of this uploaded to your servers?+
No. Every conversion — building URLs, scanning for credentials, normalizing encoding — runs entirely in your browser.
