Most playback failures on this site — and on every other web player — come down to two browser rules: CORS and mixed content. Pro runs a secure local bridge on your own machine that's simply not subject to either, so streams that show "the host refused the connection" in a browser often just play.
RTSP, RTMP and UDP multicast
Browsers can only ever speak HTTP. Pro bundles a real media engine that understands RTSP, RTMP, and raw UDP/RTP multicast too — the protocol families common in Xtream panels and legacy IPTV setups that no browser, including this one, can touch.
Every playlist format
M3U, M3U8, PLS, XSPF, ASX, WPL — Pro reads whatever you hand it, auto-detected. Drop in a file exported from any other player and it just opens.
Open local video files too
Drag in a video file from your own drive and it plays instantly — no network, no proxy, nothing to fetch.
Xtream Codes, EPG, favorites
Log in with your Xtream server, username and password directly. Load an XMLTV guide for on-now/up-next. Star channels into a My Channels list that's remembered between sessions.
Nothing leaves your machine
The local bridge only ever talks to 127.0.0.1 and the stream hosts you point it at — never to our servers. Same privacy-by-architecture promise as the web player, just running natively.
The web player already covers most people.
If your streams already play fine here, you don't need Pro — the web version is free and always will be. Pro exists for the streams that don't: the ones blocked by CORS, delivered over RTSP/RTMP/UDP instead of HTTP, or bundled in a playlist format the web version doesn't parse. If that's the situation you're in, this is built specifically to fix it.
We don't host, sell, or link to any TV channels, streams, or subscriptions — same policy as the web player. You bring the playlist or Xtream login you already have the right to use.

Why does this cost money when the web player is free?+
The web player will always be free — it's the same tool, running in your browser. Pro is a different, heavier piece of engineering: it bundles a native media bridge and a real remuxing engine to get past limits no browser can ever remove. That's the part we charge a small one-time fee for.
What does the "local bridge" actually do?+
It's a tiny server that runs only on your own machine, listening only on 127.0.0.1. When a stream would normally be blocked by your browser's CORS or mixed-content rules, Pro fetches it through this bridge instead — using a native connection, which those browser-only rules were never designed to restrict. Nothing about your playback goes through our servers.
Does it replace VLC?+
For IPTV specifically, it's built to cover the same ground: every common playlist format, RTSP/RTMP/UDP protocol support, local file playback, and an EPG — plus the CORS-fixing bridge VLC doesn't need but a lot of web-based tools do. If you already have a workflow you like in VLC, there's no need to switch.

No — same policy as the web player. Pro is a player only. You bring your own playlist or Xtream login; we never host, sell, or link to any TV content.
